You actually shouldnt physically be able to fill the t case until its over the fill hole to where it would come out if you opened. There is a seal between the tranny and tcase that, if leaking, leaks tranny fluid from your tranny into your t-case. Just make sure the tranny is full of fluid.

As was already said, the input shaft seal of the T-case is probably bad and allowing tranny fluid to enter the T-case. The seal is very easy to change and also real cheap. The T-case is pretty easy to remove as well so i would say remove the T-case and buy a new seal and fix it correctly and then refill the T-case to the bottom of the fill hole.
