3/4 ton status
will be going into a 83k5 that has a mild 350 700/208 in it for now. I would like to put a 400/208 in it form a CUCV with low miles on it. Its what i have so i would like to use it. dont have the cash to redo a 700 right now. so will the drive shafts work with the 400/208? as for the gearing i can go with 4.10 or 4.56. truck has 35" tires now. as soon as they are shot i will be going to 38s. From what little i know i am thinking 4.56 is the better choice. also, the truck will see highway use. So will 4.56 lets say and a 400 be OK or will the rpms be high? any help would be great thanks guys
