Headlights I don't believe come from the ignition switch (they are always "hot) so not sure I'd look there.

Do you have 12V from the junction block on the firewall to the fuse panel firewall connector?

I'm not looking at the wiring diagram, but if you've got 12V into the panel from the engine, check the circuit breakers. There are probably two, swap one for the other see if it changes. If there are any shunts, check those as well.

IIRC, those two breakers are what protects some of the things fed from the fuse panel. But I believe the headlights have a breaker built into them, that wouldn't make sense for them to use two breakers.

None? That's not possible unless the wires inside the fuse box (cab side) are broken off. Remembering my wiring, I believe they are hard wired, actually wire ends are crimped to brass strips that the fuses snap into, to the fuse panel backside, if there is 12V going to the fuse panel at the engine connector, the ONLY failure point after that (again, we are talking the 12V constant portion only) is the wiring between the connector and the fuse panel backside.

I no it doesn't make any sense. I have power on both sides of the fusible links at the junction block on the fire wall. But, basically one (LH SIDE) of the fuse box is dead. I have check grounds etc. Its almost like something went a miss on the back side of the fuse panel. I will be digging into it more tomorrow. Wiring frustrates the heck out of me.

Thanks for your help

Don't let it frustrate you...if you've got power at the fuse panel connector, but not on the fuse panel, you are close. :)

you have 2 hot feeds to your fuseblock... 1 from the junction block on the firewall, the other comes off the back of the alternator, over the engine.. 10 g red, and iirc it usually has a fusable link in it...

Also, try checking the plug and socket on the firewall side (The plug IIRC, is a three part cluster held in with one 6mm screw, also the socket could be loose and has a short (or it has a long:haha: )any way this is the junction point of everthing electrical from interior to frame. DON'T get frustrated, If you start to, drink a beer, bite the filter of a cig. and smoke it in 4 drags. Perseverence

Fixed It!!!!!

Well after tracing a bunch of the wiring and dropping the column. I found the problem. There is a "jumper" wire from the hot lug on the alternator to the two prong alternator plug that energizes one portion of the plug. had power at the lug but not in the wire...put on new terminal and DONE!! Took me longer to put everything back together than fix the problem...usually how it goes with wiring I guess.

OH, btw lurtch-k20...beer works good....and instead of cigs....I think I chewed a 1/2 can of copenhagen during this!!!

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!
