Just a heads up to the local Denver folks on the hunt for squarebody parts. If you surf Facebook marketplace you’ll probably run across a dude name Max who also runs the Mile High Squarebody group on FB.

My buddy made a deal to buy a set of clutch/brake pedals Monday last week. He made the arrangements for me to swing by Saturday to pull them as I wasn’t taking time out of work for a side job.

I contacted Max Friday to confirm the plan and get the address and sure enough he sold the truck two days earlier with the pedals in it.

Now I totally get cash is king and first to show get stuff. But this clown neglected to call or message that he sold the truck. He says his phone broke and he lost all his prior messages (which is bs I know).

The dude is a flake. I’ve tried to get stuff from him in the past with similar results. Buyer beware for sure.

Right now he’s having a fire sale of sorts. The land he’s stashed his junk on got sold out from under him and he’s got to be out by Friday this week. So he’s pushing his parts on FB hard at the moment. Like it’s all got to go now because Saturday it goes to the crusher.

Yeah he’s a flake
As soon as my buddy told me who he was talking to I predicted this was going to happen. Laughed about it really. My buddy didn’t get it at first. Sure enough my point was proven.

I just don’t want anybody else to get hosed over by the guy.

Does he have a non-clutch pedal set up? I've always thought I could swap mine with the clutch pedal in the crew cab if anyone was ever in need.

Yeah he’s got an auto hydroboost brake pedal already. His sub was a diesel to start with. If we had to we could reuse his brake pedal with the pad cut down, but the clutch pedal and support rods are the missing links.

Thankfully I got one coming from obijuan.
