Is a good method to depressurize fuel filter lines by pulling fuel pump relay and running the vehicle until it stalls?

what vehicle engine system, TBI's don't hold much for pressure. If you're changing out a fuel filter, I have always just opened the gas cap. You will still get some from gravity feeding it out, but it doesn't spray everywhere.

Also, many vehicles have a backup oil pressure switch that will operate the fuel pump in the event that the fuel pump relay fails to function

Uncertain on if that one has a fuel rail with a Schroeder valve, but if it does, like our '05, I just used a rag around it while depressing the valve, relieving pressure, tiny bit of fuel, then still released the gas cap.
