destroyed fire wall

when i upgraded to the hydraulic clutch it took a couple tries of drilling holes in the fire wall to get the cylinder in the right position. unfortunatly i did not add the brace to goes from the cylinder to the pedal assembly and it pushed the cylinder out of the fire wall now its all messed up(i'll try to post pics if it ever stops raining outside) does anyone know or have pics of where the brace bolts up to the pedal assembly. or anyways to brace the firewall better. i found one post where a guy had a big brace cut out from a plasma cutter and bolted it in but i don't have access to that so any other ideas would be great
 
I don't have a pic of it installed ,but this one shows where the two braces are attached . They are attached using the clutch pedal pivot bolt.

Couldn't you cut out the bad spot. Make a thicker patch plate to mount the MC on. Then attach the rod to the pedal. Then move the plate around until you visually found a spot you liked for alignment? I know you could not test pedal effot until welded but...


I am waiting for my hydrauilic version pedals to arrive. Do these use the big spring up under the dash like the mechancal version? Is it just the MC that provides the pedal return and feel?

no spring i believe its the pressure from the clutch wanting to shoot back out that brings it back
