I've done the search option and only comes up with a few have decent posts. With my truck an hour away i need to see what tools and what else i may need to take. I plan on just keeping the axle center, do i need to drill or cut the center pin doing that. Anything else that may be useful would be nice. Thanks

well, more than likely, the center pin is going to be a PITA to get out. So what I did was put C Clamps on both sides of springs:

Then pulled out the sawsall, cut it as flush as I could, then used a punch and BFH to get it out...put zero rate and new center pin in, put vice grip on bottom of pin, tighten `er up!
