ok i know a lot of you want soft tops and no one makes them and we never know if can-back will actually start producing them. so our only option is searching forums and hope one comes up for sale (like me) and get lucky. or go to a boat shop and make the canvas. while you make the supports. i have a STC fasttrac. here are a bunch of detailed pics of all the componets. sorry its kind of dark. if you need measurements or better pics tell me and i will gladly take them.

Like i said i can go get measurements and more detailed photos. i hope people will be able to use this any time a question comes up aout softops. No one makes them as current. so make your own at a boat shop.

Ryan,

Hope this helps.

Nice pics, but daylight ones would be MUCH better. Appreciate your efforts on this. Id be interested to see if anyone has had it duplicated by a boat place yet or not and what cost would be. Cost is the killer in most applications.

yeah i saw s few new post about soft tops and ran out there because ive been meaning to but the camera is never charged while the truck is here or truck is gone. so yeah. i will probably get better ones tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Wash the jizz off of your truck before you take photos. hehe j/k and thanks for sharing.

My question is what would we do for the rails?

I've thought about this a lot, I have a bed cover with frame off my 86 chevy pickup which had an aluminum frame. It was for an 8 ft bed so I can cut the side rails to length, and the rear piece clips in over the tailgate so I'd just have to modify it to clear the rear window. Then would have to make a piece I mount to the back of the cab and have some one bend some tubing for supports, and someone make the top. Still would cost a small fortune, but is very possible. I've been waiting for years for someone to start making a good quality top that I don't have to drill a hundred holes in my truck, I'm just tired of waiting.... I'd get done pictures of my idea but my blazers been in the body shop getting new rockers, tailpan, and floor put in since December 29th. It's taking forever, but my body shop guy does beautiful work

i used 1/8" flat bar for rails on my prototype. I was thinkking about trying some angle though also. I Still have some issues that i need to resolve, but is holding up well enough so far that i havn't gotten around to fixing them. Best pics i have right now...

Here's some pics of the "snap-on" rails and rigging. The only thing I can't show is the spreaders that go from the 1/2" B pillar holes, that you must drill. (Pic #17 bu AUK5). Also, my cover has been gone for years.
