determining drive shaft length!!!!

ok so now my driveshaft that was on my truck when I had a front d44 and 12" leafs is WAY too long with my front d60 and 6" leafs... how do I determine what size I need this cut down to? I do not want it to fall apart if flexed.. nor do I want it to be too long and go through my xfer case!!!!

Measure the cap to cap distance with your new parts installed, and make your current shaft to match, or try to find a factor yone that will.
