I have a no-spin Detriot locker in my 10.5 14 bolt with a 4:88 gear and I am pulling the stuff from my truck and putting under my CUCV.I pulled the 14 bolt today and noticed it has quite a bit of slack in it(less than a 1/4 turn) before it locks up.The locker and gear have maybe 8k on them and the gear still has a good pattern and the grease still looked good.Is this normal due to wear,or do I have a problem.I have never heard a noise from it,(that I could hear over the boggers) and as far as I know has always locked. The parts were bought new and set up by a reputable gear man that has done work for me before, and never had a problem so I dont think it's that. This was found by turning the yoke and not the tires.Anybody have any ideas.

My Detroit is the same way, it's been like that through 2 housings, 3 ratios and 20 years. It's the nature of the product, no worries. :thumb:
