Ok this might be a real stupid question, But will a detroit locker out of a dana 60f fit in a high-pinion axle?

Will a detroit from Chevy or Dodge front low-pinion Dana 60 (35 spline) fit into a Ford front high-pinion Dana 60 (35 spline)? Yes.

For a Dana 60, as long as the spline count matches, the carriers are interchangeable.

One thing you have to realize is that there is only one (stock) carrier for the stock HP Dana 60: 4.10 and (numerically) down.

This means that if you are trying to buy/use a detroit from a Chevy/Dodge 60 you have to use the (numerically) lower carrier. All HP Dana 60 gears that are 4.56 or (numerically) higher are "thick" gears.

All HP Dana 60's must use the same carrier (the numerically lower one).

Thats Great news Thank you!
So all I need to do is get a bare HP center section, Use my outers and my detroit, and buy a gear set, Right?

If your detroit is made for 4.10 and numerically lower gears then yes, all you need is the bare axle and gears :thumb:
