I have a posi rear end with 3.73 gears which I'm happy with as Wimpy sees quite a bit of highway driving and still has plenty of git up and go from a standstill.
Does anybody have said same around about the Arizona area?

I have one that was in my truck for three months and bought it brand new. Hows 300.00 shipped to your door? /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

That would work , but Allan would need an open carrier also , in good shape . I believe he and TJ determined it was a well worn posi carrier in there now /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

What Paul said there Marv. If I could find the right type stuff to put a lock right in I shouldn't think it would be a bad option. Prolly would be cheaper in the long run as well.

Ko since we're talkin about it, what would be the hoops I would have to jump through to use a lock right?

Re: Detroit Locker for a 12 bolt

You need :

1. open 12 bolt carrier in your gear range .
2. One lockright or Detroit EZ ( GG Quic Loc ) for said carrier
3. Either reuse your shims/setup and hope for the best OR have someone reset the gears .
4. Regular gear oil , or synthetic if you want the temps down , won't matter .
5. Explain to your wife that it may pop once in awhile and not to panic /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
