I have a '74 K5 with a 350 engine and stock axles. Detroit has a "C-Locker", an "EZ-Locker", and a "Soft Locker". What's the difference between these and which is best for the rear axle?
For your truck, as is, you have to use the C-Locker. It is for axles aith C-clips (which your 10- or 12-bolt has).
The EZ Locker is a lunchbox locker - it uses the OEM carrier and replaces only the spider gears.
The Soft Locker is a good ol' Detroit Locker in the classical sense, except it has some rubber dampers added to soften locking and make it quieter around corners.
