Detroit locker?

I need to remove the pass side axle to check the brakes
can I pull just that side out?
I thought when I installed the locker the manual said to reinstall a bolt with a wing nut but I maybe crazy I lost all the info on the locker when I moved. I hope this makes sense.

If it is a 14FF you can just pull it out.

Be ready for gear oil to come out with the axle too.

not always...I have jacked the side up high enough b4 that minimal if any oil come out /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah, jack that one side way up - it see show flexy you are and prevents the oil from coming out.

Removew the 8 inner bolts and remove the axle. That's it.
