I just installed a d60 in the front of the k5 and I gave up serious turning radius in 4x4 is this normal? Any way to fix it? Any feedback would help.

No reason why you should have lost any turning radius unless the stops are not adjusted properly and limiting your turning radius.

sounds like it may not be unlocking in turns... fixes include, twin stick transfer case for front wheel drive only, cutting brakes on rear wheels, or sell me the detroit and go with a selectable locker

i have them front and back i lost some on the slip but not that much in fact i went with hubs so i could get out and unlock them BUT i broke them after a year and i am going slugs now becouse i never once needed to unlock them

but i needed to do assist on the cross over asap it was killing me

If the wheels are turning just as much (same turn angle), but the truck isn't turning as sharply that's not exactly uncommon especially on a high traction surface.

The trouble in 4 low is that if you stop, turn the wheels, and apply gas to move it takes a decent amount of power to move the truck (overcome the binding), and with that amount of power applied it will cause a front Detroit to stay locked.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess why worry about going around the tree when you can climb up it right?
