Okay I am pretty sure my detroit is broke. Not sure what is broke been to busy wheeling it. It broke so it stays locked. Makes it so I can't turn though.

Plan on pulling it apart soon.

Weakness of a detroit is if you break an inner shaft, it usually kills the detroit too.

Mine survived a couple breaks.

I have heard the Grizzly from Yukon is basically the same thing with some sort of washer cam spring thing in it to keep the locker from breaking when a shaft breaks.

Anyone actually running a griz up front or broken a shaft with a griz and had it survive?

I got one up front. Works great. First year warranty is great. Anything that breaks with the Grizzly, up to $2000.00 they replace. Regular lifetime warranty for an extra $40 or $50. Overall a good deal. Randy Ring & Pinion. Still cheaper than a Detroit on a D60.

Just put a Grizzley locker on the front. Only 3 trips on it so don't have an opinion yet.

Selling feature for me was:

suppose to survive a broken shaft.
Parts are suppose to be available if you do break something from an axle break.
