OK, Boys and Girlies...
Picked up a Dana60 and I'm back in the truck game... (after a little over a year off)
I've had this new frame sitting in my driveway for two years now and I'm FINALLY getting my Act together and making some headway. (As you can see I have a couple things already started).

Last few things on the frame before I start swapping over the motor/drivetrain and making crossmembers was the Rear Shock Tower, Steering Brace and Rear Shackles. I got all three started this weekend... Are you peps ready for the Photo Whoring? :ears:

First up is the Steering brace.

I still need to make some triangulations to the front crossmember that weld to the sides of those back two sleeves... The sleeves I cut to 3" and the bolts are 4"

More pics to come!

Oops, sorry, I was using the picture link since I tried HTML and it showed HTML, I went back through and added spaces between the pics, should pop them all in line! :doah:

Hey JJ, is the diamond plate floored body going on this frame with all the diamond plate on it?

Glad to see you didnt get rid of project rusty bucket, i think you would have kicked yourself for years if you had. You have alot of time and work into it, i can't wait to see it finished.

you are a post whore, i think u need help.

that being said, very sweet!

not exactly the right way to box a frame but it should work just fine. Cool work, welcome back, though I've noticed you around a bit lately.

very nice... must be nice to build it from the frame up like that. probably alot easier to do neat things like that rear shock tower

Yeah I've been looking around, I won the axles on Ebay and started playing around the forums, took a couple weeks to arrange pickup/cash, since then I've been a little more frequesnt the past couple weeks. It feels good to be PIC whoring again.

I didn't do much research into the boxing of the frames, but I was more worried about transfering engery/twisting on the sleeves, once I put some braces in I think it will do what I need. Originally I was going to make a couple 1" strips to run the top and bottom to weld a C over the frame (looking back I probley should have). The frame was only used about a year or two, then the truck sat in a barn till a few years ago, so it has almost ZERO use and very little rust!

That frame coating looks like Zero Rust! Am I right? If so, used it on my frame too, and I'm very impressed with it!

Thats Factory Black. The frame was used only for a year or so then it sat in a barn. The places I've cut and welded I painted with Rust Tough Semi-Flat Black.
