Sorry, Corey P. but your info sure helped, I took a cut-off pair of shackel brackets, they were on the used ones I got, chopped them off and turned them upsidedown, then took a flame-wrench and cut the ones on the K-5 ,but left the mounting holes on both sides, then welded w/ support brackets, guided buy the bolts, gave me the same lift as the 52" w/7.25
shackels; but I did'nt have to worry about rear shackle movement from
articulation and possible metal fatigue.
Once again,thanks,C.P:bow:

ya know... why hasnt anyone made 2-plate style shackles (like the front uses) for use with a stock rear hanger. would achieve the same thing wouldnt it?

that wouldnt work without serious modifcation. but that is the style of shackle that DIY4x's kit uses.

I *think* it could work with enough bushings/spacers and maybe bending the plates.

I think it would work if you built it like this...

theres an easyer way to do a shackel flip. find you a set of rear spring front spring hangers and move them to the rear. its supper strong ive been running this setup for years and had no problems. It gives the rear about 5 inches of lift.

RUN its another zombie thread (no not about zombies but back from the dead)
