Did Blazers ever have 5 lugs?

Did 4X4 blazers ever have 5 lug wheels?

2) And/or will 5 lug rotors fit on the stock blazer spindles?

3) And/or is there a way to make a 5 lug rotor fit the stock blazer spindle?

i know it's possible to re-drill, but i want to try #1,#2,and #3 first.
 
Which 5 lug? I have mixed and matched parts to get 5x5.5 on a Chevy axle. It was a long time ago and I really don't remember which parts. But if your looking for the 2wd standard 5x5 I don't know
 
You can stick ford dana 44 outers on a chevy dana 44. Im not sure what their rotor/caliper situation was. Ford has always had their own stuff in that department but switching all of it as a complete outer unit does interchange. IIRC ford uses a different length stub shaft so you would have to hybrid your axle shafts between ford/chevy.
 
I believe you can swap 2wd rear axle shafts with 5 lugs in a 1/2 ton rear diff, that have the same spline counts...but GM used 5 on 5" pattern on 2wd trucks..not 4-3/4"..


The front rotors are the biggest problem--no factory 5 lug 4x4 ones existed from GM.(that I know of)....you could probably get wheel adapters that would let you bolt up 5 lug 4-3/4" bolt pattern rims up front,but then your front tires would stick out further than the rears,and might put the wheel bearings under more stress than they were designed for..

Why would you want to do this anyways ?--use some 5 lug custom or rally rims maybe ?....seems to me it would be a downgrade..

2. Not that I'm aware of.

3. Anything's possible, but as others have mentioned you're going to have to create some sort of Frankenstein axle with various parts both GM and not, or use and adapter.
 
Not to be a pessimist but im 99.99999% sure there is no 5x4.75 rotor/hub that is going to work over a 4wd spindle. The ID on the 4wd spindle is just so big to get the stub shaft through and none of the 2wd stuff you could source a 5x4.75 rotor/hub from is ever going to have wheel bearings anywhere near that big. Your best bet by far is to run ford outers like I explained or run ford outers and use a staggered pattern adapter to convert the ford 4wd pattern to chevy car.

Adapters/bolt on spacers arent bad. Put them on correctly, torque them correctly, retorque them after 25 or 50 miles and you're never ever going to have issues. A kid I went to highschool with I used to wheel with ran 44tsls on yota axles with 0 back spacing wheels and 3in spacers. Drove it everyday. Did he change wheel bearings every 6 months? Yeah probably but its not unsafe. If they were really as unsafe as some people try to claim (not pointing any fingers just a general statement) then they wouldnt be sold by reputable suppliers.
 
1-Yes....of course, 2wd's were in the standard 2wd pattern, 5 on 5." And, no, none of the "stuff" is interchangeable.

Probably free wheels... You might be able to do a 6 to 5 adapter but as many folks will tell you the less lugs you have to work with make the adapters more prone to sketch factor and failure

He made it sound like he didn't have a specific pattern chosen yet...

Would prefer 5x4.75, but any 5 lug pattern will do.

Does a 6 to 5 exist? I didn't think it could be clocked staggered without some overlapping of patterns.
 
They do sell 6 to 5 lug adapters--some are 1 piece,others are 2 pieces you must bolt together...a guy I know uses them on a '56 Chevy pickup that had 6 lug axles factory (2wd),and he wanted to run Corvette rally wheels he had hanging around on it...far as I know he never had any problems with it,but he wasn't racing or hauling full loads of dirt with it either..just cruising around to car shows and cruise nights mostly..
