well i currently have 350/700r4/208 going to 5.13s in the axles with 42's. sometime in the not so distant future, i plan to buy a diesel k5/ truck and going with 6.2/700r4/doubler and swapping the axles over and running 40's.

my question is, did i screw myself over by going with 5.13s in my axles in combonation with a future 6.2? the truck gets mostly in town driving, but will have an occasional 65-70mph 2hr highway drive. hopefully with the 700r4 it will still work, but im looking for some input.

I have no idea....but your 700r4 will like it. I went 4.56 with 37's and wish badly i would have gone 5.13.....

It'll be fine, you'll be turning 1950 rpm at 65 mph on 40's...

5.13s are never a mistake, I don't care what the engine/trans/tcase/tire height combo is.

sweet! this is reassuring! well i havent really decided yet on 40s or 42s, but 40s are alot cheaper. since ill be at college, it wont be driven all that much, except for offroading and the drive home i was thinkin bout goin crazy with something like 39.5 boggers. i dont know, i jus need to find the diesel truck, and collecting the remaining stuff before starting the swap (i learned its better to collect everything instead of goin on the fly. its been 7months and my truck is just now driveable again, all because i didnt have everything right away, $$ was also part of the problem)
