Did the 2door blazer ever come with a vortec?NV4500?

I'd like one or maybe settle for 4 door tahoe....thinking SAS on 38s.

I found one that said it had a 5 speed manual. NV4500???

to my knowledge they never came with a NV4500, I see you added that question later.

I have always been interested in finding out more about the 2500 rated forest service 2 door tahoe's

Later model Blazers/Tahoe, 1/2 ton trucks, and LD 3/4 ton have the NV3500 trans
HD 3/4 and 1 tons got the NV4500

Nope. GM had too much trouble with the NV3500 so they ditched it for the NV4500. We had several members on ORC/Chevy about 10 years ago with them.
