I just got done doing a transmission swap on my 87 k5 went from a toasted 700r4 to a th400. now I aint getting any fuel i got fuel all the way up to the tbi but it aint coming out of the injecters it ran just fine before. I have no idea how this tbi works, I was thinking maybe the 3 wires that came off 700r4 might have something to do with it. Any ideas for things to check would help. thanks

EDIT I just hooked my code reader up to it and it said this code no distributer signal to electronic control module.

is there something under the cap to check?

A bad ignition module can cause a no fuel situation. Do you have spark? Usually when the module goes bad you don't have spark BUT i have seen a module fail where it wasn't sending the signal to the ECM for the fuel pump but the engine still had spark so don't rule it out if you do have spark.

Chances are though that you knocked a wire loose somewhere while swapping the trans. Check the wires at the distributor first and make sure that both connectors are plugged in and tight.

yea it has spark ill start goin through the wires to see if im missing anything. thanks for the reply

haha like I said im a newb wire got pulled out behind the distributer cant beleive I over looked that:doah:. thanks for your help I guess ill look into it more next time I have a problem before I post it on here. This is the first truck ive ever built so this whole thing is a learning curve. now I got a tranny that works now Im what step closer to finishing this thing.
