Did you guys know the selection is unlimited?

I have a 78 Blazer and need a winch bumper. I am looking for a bumper that looks more old school. I do not want one that is angled up to look like a spaceship front. I have a 78 and want the bumper to look like it belongs from that era - nothing too fancy. Also I want the bumper to stick out in front where I can load stuff on it or I can stand on it.

I can weld it together, drill holes, etc., but cutting the plate parts out is more trouble than its worth without the right tools.

Do you have anything to fit this description?

It'd take some design work and it'd be a good long ways out before I could do anything for ya. We're a bit backed up on bumpers right now.

Kert, what about a double sheer clamp like the one in this pic? (Courtesy of 80'427)

I like that clamp.

The schedule in machining for new products goes like this.

High steer arm
drag links
tie rods
Jamb nuts

Seems to make sense to slip the clamp in after the drag links and tie rods. Depending on some scheduling, we may be able to do the clamp before the drag links and tie rods.

I'd order one tomorrow if you had them.:thumb:

Material for the tie rod clamp should be in house tonight. Hardware on Thursday.

Really shouldn't take us long to whip up some fixturing and turn these out.

Our tie rods and drag links will be made from 1.375" x .375" wall DOM. We'll make clamps for these and probably for a 1.5" diameter.

Any other sizes needed?

just a thought on the above mentioned bumper.... cause i'd be interested maybe too:thinking: but couldnt you just use the abomb... and cut a few holes for the pull points and fairlead into a stock bumper. then offer flat plates precut to fit the top of the bumper contour and fill it in back to the grille. youd be making a small platform by doing so. and all the shop would need to design is 2 or 3 flat plates... the a bomb is already done:waytogo:

I hear what you're saying Rick. Sounds a little bit different direction then what crawlink5 had in mind.

I've never tried to put a stock bumper over top the A bomb either, if that's what you're saying.

On another note, Tie rod clamps may very well be done today.

Tie rod clamp is done and I just popped it up on the website. Soon as the website updates, i'll start a new thread with a link to the website page.

How about an adjustable rear spring hanger?
I need to move my rear axle back and my shackle angle is straight up and down (using your shackle flip). I don't want to add any more lift by using a zero rate, so how about just coming up with a hanger with multiple locations to move the front of the spring?

For an 85 jimmy?

I think we may have done that one already. I'll look into it.

Kert, would you make a cover like this? I bought the truss itself (new, unused & CHEAP from a guy on another site) but need the cover and a vertical tab to weld on the truss.

(FYI, this pic and the design is from Blue Torch Fab)

Yep, I could do that for you. Need more specifics though.

Looks pretty straight forward. Have to double check and make sure I can bend that deep without interference.

What about a bracket/plate to move the steering box a couple of inches forward?
