I have a Banks Sidewinder to put on my 6.2 "J" in 85 Suburban. I understand there are several engine improvements for TD 6.5 engine over 6.2, however there were also N/A 6.5's sold as replacements for the 6.2. Do these offer any of the same advantages of the TD 6.5's? Most interested in whether pistons are oil cooled and coated on N/A 6.5 same as TD 6.5, does the N/A 6.5 retain the bigger injection pump and injectors as the TD 6.5, Heads on N/A 6.5 same as TD 6.5? I'm assuming block is the same for both versions of 6.5. Sidewinder came off a 6.5 replacement in mid 80's Suburban and I need to decide if I should use this engine block and heads instead of the 6.2.
