how good does the Sprinter do for towing?
The Class C combos I have looked at are kinda light by CK5 standards....like 5klb.
That's fine for my intended purpose. I want to pull/launch my fishing boat (about 2.5klb on the trailer). That said, it does it very well within n the rating.
Drove this home yesterday. Made it through Death Valley (from Pahrump) in August - she's legit!
Fuel tank is 26gal - the gauge says only a 1/4-tank gone after 180 miles of mountain driving.

Yerp.
The numbers are not impressive on paper, but it does juuuuuust fine as far as I'm concerned. I hit the top of Towne Pass doing 45mph - that's 5000 feet up in 16 miles with twists and turns at the top. It was 110*F at the start/bottom when I came through. I just shifted manually to stay on top of engine load and temp.
No DPF or DEF either (last year for that).
Winner.
