Hi,

I'm looking for quite a special part for my Blazer: The sound dampening/firewall insulation between the 6,2 Diesel Engine and the firewall. It covers the AC unit too... only Diesel Blazers and Pickups were equipped with those heavy duty insulation kits.
Unfortunately somebody "serviced" the air conditioning by cutting the entire panel to pieces and it would be a shame to reinstall that mess on my restored truck.

Greetings

Flo

Here's a pic:

That's pretty much usual to hack it up to service the AC:mad::mad:

If they do it right it comes off in 2 parts and you can semi glue it back together. Hard to make it look good though.

I pulled the whole thing off instead;) Adds an hour to the job though. I tossed the mat insulation though. Will replace that with the newer foil sound/insulation stuff when I put it back on.

@bikinzey:
yeah, they tried to glue it together too.. the results were ridiculous (using hot-melt adhesive!!) ... God, I really hate that kind of work... unfortunately the same "professionals" tried to fix the wiring too... :-(

Need I ask if it's hard to find Professionals there?:laugh::laugh:

Sorry but your reply really is funny. If it's not happening to me;)

Hi thanks a lot for the pics and sorry for the late reply,
unfortunately that cover is looking worse than mine... I mailed a guy over here who's parting out his Diesel K5, maybe he has a good one for me.

Thanks again

I am finally parting my K20 diesel, and those parts look really clean, I don't need them so I will take them off, lay them down and take a pic.
If you think they are decent enough we can agree on a price.
:D

Did you get any?
I finally got them out and they are in great condition, the only flaw I see is that they have some rubbery spray on all the bolts and seams, which I peeled off the bolt locations but there are still traces.
If you still need those, let me know I will take a few pics to show you the condition and if you like them I will package and ship.
