Diesel Hood ornament tech

What in the hell is the application difference between these hood ornaments?
They are 1981 only 5.7 diesel. Part numbers under are the same as just the run of the mill hood ornament.
I cant find any documents on them specifically.
Secondly, the yellow one has a busted stud so I need to swap it to the other one. How can I do this without hurting myself? lol

Or suggestions for repair on the yellow one.

Pull the little end up on the spring, and wind it all the way off like keys on a ring. Then swap the part, and rewind it all the way back down untill it fully pops back on.

I lost my spring so it’s held in with safety wire.
