diesel muffler on gas burner

i am in the need of a 4" muffler. i was thinking of buying a walker big truck muffler of a magnaflow. something along those lines. i said diesel muffler cause those are the only ones i now of that large diameter. any one every heard one on a gas burner? did it sound bad? or just different? thanks

I had a 3.5" performance muffler intended for a diesel engine on my Gen V 454. That thing sound bad-ass!! It was a stock motor, but it would rattle the plates in my neighbors house!! The one I used has no packing material in it and is friggin' huge (may end up being a rock-catcher). The motor is gone, the muffler is still in the truck and will have a diesel engine in fromt of it......someday.
I say do it. If you're ok with the sound, then it's all good.
