diesel swap

well after driving my ranger for the last couple months it is time to get a full size truck again.So i have been playing around on craigslist for a diesel and i am not coming up with any thing good so i am think of doing a swap. My question has any body done a duramax swap into a 1973-1999 chevy truck or is cummins the way to go in these trucks for cheap and who has all done diesel swaps

There is a guy on here that has a Duramax in his '73-'87 blazer. More work than it's worth IMO. I know everyone always says 12v cummins and I'm going to sound like a broken record but it's because it's the easiest and you can make stupid power with them. After wrenching on my '94 Dodge I have no doubt I could do a 12v swap, there's nothing to them.

I hate to actually say this, but do a search. Seriously, there are about half a million Cummins swap threads here, and even a few D-max swap threads.

I'd love to see a clean Dmax install myself...
