After I pulled the engine from my latest truck I noticed the front diff (10 bolt) breather attachment loose, on the housing, and several years of crap had plugged the hole where it once sat. This explained the shite state of the gears and oil...

Ive hit it with compressed air in an effort to clean the void out. Most of the crap came out through the bearing and some through the small internal cast holes.

Any diff men got advice on a quick way to sort this problem...flushing, unbolt caps, leave it?

Note: I only need this diff to do approx 5000 miles before I will replace with 1 ton gear.

Thanks

Jason

spray the bearing the best you can with brake clean while turning the carrier. that should get most of it out and last well after your swap.
