Would i damage anything inside the pumpkin of my 14b by cleaning it out with degreaser or brake cleaner.. i plan on reusing everything inside i can.. then spraying it all down after i clean it with a WD40 type spray ?

i want to clean all the crap out but dont wanna screw up anything inside by killing the seals that are in there

not taking it apart, just want to clean the crud out

I cleaned mine out like that (D60 and 14BFF) with brake/parts cleaner and they are fine. I didn't spray anything in there though (WD40 or the like). Just make sure they are completely dry before you add the diff fluid back. I let mine sit for a little while then blow it out with compressed air. If not, I would imagine it would break down some of the oil. I have to replace a wheel seal in my 14 bolt next time I"m off so I'll be back in there to make sure everything is fine. :D

I cleaned mine out with brake parts cleaner and sprayed it out with a compressor, I wasn't even careful about it really, probably hit the seals, but it never leaked. But I'd recommend trying not to hit the seal with the spray or make sure it's seal safe type spray.

Cool, will go clean her out some.. dont have compressed air so will have to let air dry and hit it with my WD40 stuff then pop the cover back on and let her sit till i get funds
