I have been trying to find a manual for 14 bolt axles. Ran across a military manual for 1 tons. Will this work for a 14 bolt out of a early 80's Chevy truck? I know that sometimes the military stuff is different than civilan. Thanks.

The only difference is that most military 14bff axles came with Detroit lockers where civilian axles didn't.

in additon to the rear detroit, they also had 4.56 gears and "i think" the ambulances came with limited slips or lockers in the front axle. but not a detroit in the front, like a powertrax or some thing or maybe just a limited slip. i am sure about the rear detroit and gears though.

here's some specs: (aren't i nice guy to look this up for you? :D )

Thanks Offroad! Looks like the manual I found will cover the 14 bolt I need to go through. I didn't know the Blazer only had a 10 bolt in it.

yeah, it'd be pretty sweet if the blazers came with 1 ton stuff. i'd buy one in a heartbeat. (i know i could swap the stuff over, but that's work)
