I have no idea what year my rear axle is(it was in the truck when I got it) but the parking brake cable setup is different from the 88 I had and from the "new" cables that I got from the junk yard. The parking brake cable setup on the truck is held onto the backing plate with two bolts, while the one from the junkyard uses a round press/spring clip(best way I know the sescribe it).

What I would like to know, is: Are the two different style backing plates iterchangable and does all the brake hardware just swap over? I know I can get the backing plates off the same truck that I got the cables from, but have never seen the other style p-brake setup.

Thanks.
