Differential carrier confusion

I got my 14 bolt carrier out of the rear and tore her apart and found 3 spider gears instead of 4 (it was supposed to have only 3)? I bought a detroit locker to put into the carrier. It has 4 nubs to fit where the 4 spider gears are supposed to be.

What do I need to do to get this worked out?

you have a gov loc, you need an open carrier for the detroit to fit. the open carrier has 4 spider gears.
