I'm looking to put my Eaton posi from my 1/2 ton 10 bolt rear axle in my 3/4 ton 10 bolt front axle. Both have the same spline count and similar year, was 3.08 would be 4.11 . Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Should be a direct swap, then...

I have a 28 spline Eaton Posi in my front end.
I assume it came out of a rear diff.

It will fit but I think the 10 bolts have 3 or 4 ratio breaks for the carriers. You might need a ring spacer to fit the 4.11's.

Is this a gov-lock? If so, please report back on how it performs.

The front and rear 10-bolt diffs are the same. You can swap the bearings, carriers, gears, spiders, etc. front to back. 2.73-5.13 all use the same carrier. I don't know if there are any more ratios available for truck 8.5".

Thanks for the help guys! No it is an Eaton posi that was installed shortly before i swapped 3/4 ton parts. I'll let you know how it works out.
