I've got a '91 S10 with the standard gauges, and I also have a digital cluster with the wiring pigtail. Has anyone ever done this swap before? Is it just a matter of splicing in the connector and bolting the cluster in?

I don't think it's a doable swap. Buddy is getting into Evilbay, goes there to see what brings money, and those digital dashs come up. I did a quick look at them, guy there rebuilds them and sells them. But says in his discription says that they won't swap over to analog style. I'm not 100% sure on this, so don't take my word to heart....

Hmm, I know the connector is different between the two, I wonder if that's why the auction says it won't swap. It wouldn't surprise me if it can't be done, that would be disappointment #2. I also bought an older analog style with a factory tach, took out the stock cluster and then realized I didn't have a cable driven speedo:doah:
