Hello,

I need to replace the two tie rod ends that links the pitman arm to the steering arm.
Last time i bought one thru my local parts store i got the wrong part, it was too slim, it was 5/8" instead of the 7/8" on the truck.

This time i want to buy the parts from Rockauto but i am confused.
1. Under the secition "Center link" i can find some tie rod ends but they are 5/8"
2. Under the section "Tie rod ends" i can find som tie rod ends as well but i cannot find the dimension.

My goal is to buy the parts with the highest quality that fit my truck, price is secondary, i hate to do the work and the transport cost is high.

The parts your describing are listed as "Drag Link Ends" here in the USA.."Center Link" usually refers to a car or 2wd application, that is the bar the other tie rods hook too,and goes from the Pitman arm to the Idler arm..

You didn't tell what year and tonnage your truck is--
Most GM 4x4's from 1971 to 1987 used the same part numbers for the drag link ends,Moog ones part numbers were ES-2026R and ES-2027L if I remember correctly..but do not go by my memory, your truck may be different..also someone may have altered the pitman and steering arm taper to use some other number ends off another brand of truck like a Dodge,so the ones listed as correct for your truck still might be "wrong"..I think the threads on the part numbers I mentioned are about 7/8" diameter...

I did mention it in the headline  but anyway, it is a Suburban V2500 -91 6.2 diesel.
It has a specified gross vehicle weight of 3900 kg (8598 lb) from the factory so it is heavy duty

The confusing part is that i search Rockauto for this specific vechicle so i should not get any result for a 2wd. So i would be happy if someone can confirm that ES-2026R and ES-2027L indded has a thread diameter of 7/8".

Those are the correct part numbers.

ANY parts store will have some incorrect listings, Rock Auto is no exception.

There always was a mass of confusion regarding parts listings after 1987,when GM started using the "V" and "R" designations rather than the good old "K" series ...even parts catalogs often had the listings wrong..
I'm "pretty sure" all the solid axle 4x4 trucks from '87 to 91 that were still square bodies share the same parts as their older "K" series brothers...

Here's the specs on the dimensions off the Rock Auto listings..

Thanks for the replies  this community is simply the best!
Order is paid and hopefully i receive the parts in a couple of weeks...
