Dip stick alignment?

Hey Guys,
The dip stick (driver side) in my 79 GMC 4x4 350 doesn't slide right in. It seems to bind at the block so I have to wiggle, jiggle & twist berfore in will go in. Is there a way to align this so checking the oil isn't a major PAI?

you may be able to get an aftermarket chrome one that is straiter.i had one the slid into stock position and bolted to the header bolt a couple engines ago.slid right in.
