They are actually pretty shiny compared to factory mirrors. Although the flash makes them look worse.
Those are from a van and seem to be very hard to find.

Yep, they are off of vans.
The one controller controls both mirrors just like a newer truck with power mirrors. We did write down the wiring. They should install just like regular mirrors and you would probably have to drill holes for the wiring. I haven't installed any yet.
