Dirtbikes

I haven't been riding since before my son went into the Air Force 7 years ago or so. Got my bike back into riding shape back in November and spent December replacing all my old and falling apart riding gear. So I'm ready to roll at the first opportunity.

Just found this thread and had the realization that I haven't been out on any dirt since the world was flipped upside down two years ago. First pic is when I picked up my '19 yz250fx from the dealer and the other is the most recent time I was riding up around black hawk.

That all single-track?
No this is a campground and hiking area in the background but Flagstaff has a lot of great single track as well as a huge OHV cinder area. Something for every level of rider.

Looks amazing! Gonna have to drag the toy hauler up there! Where the best place to camp and ride? Would love to take my family here.
I was only in Moab for two days, didn’t get to explore too much. Looked like plenty of dispersed (dry) camping off of Willow Springs rd which is about 10 miles north of town. This is also one of the trailheads for the Sovereign trail. i also saw a few camp spots off Cotter Mine road across the highway from Willow Springs. Looks like lots of campgrounds up in the Sand Flats area.
I rode the Slick Rock trail, Sovereign trail and 7 Mile Rim loop.
Definetly planning to go back about the same time next year.IMG_0034.JPG

Went to Casper this last weekend, never ridden the track before and was able to get two more hole-shots and another first place finish. Sunday morning practice started out with what was probably the worst wreck she’s ever had but luckily she was able to walk it off and race.

That’s awesome. I’m picking up a Kawasaki klx140r f Friday along with a Yamaha pw50 for my son. I can’t wait.

Thursday night I got a phone call from our daughter’s work asking if I could come pick her up and take her to the emergency room. Apparently she decided to do a handstand and dislocated her shoulder. They had to put her under to put her shoulder back in place. On the way home from the hospital she said she was still gonna race, Friday I asked and she said no way am I racing. Saturday morning I told her to pack her gear just in case, she looked at me like I had two heads. Midway through the day Saturday she said she wanted to ride her bike around the pits. I knew what would happen next, she came back and said she wanted to ride practice. I told her to get her gear on. She rode three laps and said it wasn’t as bad as she expected. Our son hadn’t been on a bike since his shoulder injury a year and three months ago. He had shoulder surgery in November. They both did great on Sunday.
