Re: Disc Brake \"Close Out\"

Please forgive my ignorance, but I have a question. I want to buy a set of these, before they're all gone, but I don't actually have the 14BFF yet /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I see I have to pick either a 10mm or 7/16 banjo bolt. First of all, I don't actually know what a banjo bolt is. Secondly, if I just pick one, and I'm wrong, is it hard to switch it to the appropriate one? Thank you for any assistance you (or anyone else) can offer.

Patrick

Re: Disc Brake \"Close Out\"

If you pick the wrong size you just have to go get different calipers at a cost of $12 each.

I'd pick 7/16 as the 1975 K20 is a common choice for caliper application.

Re: Disc Brake \"Close Out\"

Thanks for the quick reply...I am now the proud owner of a disc conversion kit for an axel I don't even own. Man, I love this hobby.

Bill, it didn't ask which banjo I wanted, but if you read this, I apparently want the 7/16.

Thanks to everyone.

Re: Disc Brake \"Close Out\"

Patrick, I will send the 7/16 banjo bolts and crush washers in your kit. The only 10mm banjo bolts used are for brand new 1/2 ton calipers. After they are rebuilt they are also retapped to 7/16"
