disc brake conversion

If I do a disc break conversion on my 14ff, will it still retain the stopping power of those big factory drums? I have owned disc break conversions on 14ff before, for crawling and such, but never for towing. I will be towing around 4000lbs so I need the breaks to be really reliable. So will I be ok if I go with the conversion?

Yes, discs are better than drums. If you really want you can get oversized calipers & discs.
