Disc brake'd Eaton rear

Has anyone done this that remembers the details of it? Should be similar to a 14bolt, but I've read various writeups that said the spacers had to be cut down. Does anyone remember how much they had to be cut down by? I'm wondering if I can use gravelmakers offset style brackets, and run them on the backside of the flange, but that would be something like 1/2" difference.
