Disc Conversion

I just converted my 14-bolt to a disc and put it under my Blazer; question is that can i use a hard brake line straight up to the caliper, I don't see why not. Or will i have to make it a two piece and buy some steel briaded line?

You should at leats use the rubber hose, but the braided works also (i think they just look nice) the reason is the caliper moves back and forth so using the hard line will work for a while, but w/ time it will crack.

Where is everyone getting their soft rubber or S.S&gt; lines from that are using the rear brackets from members on the site?

Somewhere at home I have the part number for the rubber line that I used. I ran hard line out to the end of the axle, then to a bracket that holds the end of the rubber line. For the brackets, I used the front brake line brackets from a '91 Chevy Beretta GT. I cut off the end and shaped it to fit the curve of the axle tube, then welded it to the tube. I'll try to remember to get the part number for the hose tonight.

Of course, that's if my CRS doesn't kick in between now and then.

I got my rear calipers off an Caddy, They were hard lines to the Caliper. They had been on there for 15 years and still worked. But I caved in or used better logic and used TSM's stainless lines also

I used all stainless from up by the gas tank across the axle and to both calipers. I bought mine from Speedway Motors. They are reasonably priced and were extremely helpful on the phone.
