Disk brakes on 14FF???

I used 1977 Caddy calipers and 1977 Chevy Chevette front caliper brake lines (rubber hoses) for the flex lines. Just need to weld a tab onto the axle to hold the spot where the flex line meets the metal line.

In '78 they switched to the small......

pattern, lots of people call it the small metric pattern, you want the '76 or '77 Eldorado.....The large pattern.

lol no i havent got the ruff stuff brackets yet there in the mail lol and from what ive read doing a search on the ruff stuff brackets that they are designed for a 75 caliper only, at least thats waht came up but you already asured me that it will take a 3/4T 73-87 caliper

I designed them using the '75 caliper.......

But they are the same from '73-'87 & the '76-'77 ElDorado's were also the same except for the ebrake portion......

Actually, the caddy Eldo calipers are 76-78 rear calipers. I have heard of people buying reman calipers that had the incorrect pistons installed when they were assembled.

I cannot be sure about the '78.......

When I made my measurements the '78 had a different part number than the '76 and they did not have one to compare or measure, I can only go with what I am sure of.

when you say early caddy calipers, what years are you referring too?

most likely 1976-1978... I have 1976 on my truck.... work great... I can now hammer the brakes while flying down the road... and the truck will not spin around on me... just a nice and hard stop.....

I have a different kit but still have the factory master cylinder :wink1:
