So my wife's uncle/cousins live close to Disney. We talked about going down for thanks giving and taking her new '14 Rubicon. Is there anything we can do so we can look it over for a more aggressive trip with the k30 next summer?

Well not sure about the wheeling etc down there but we just got back from Disney a few months ago with the kiddies. All I can say is $9 for a PLAIN hotdog and can soda :eek1: in the park. Glad we brought our food in :thumb:

Prep your wallet.....not you rig if your planning to go to the park.

Not Walt Disney, Disney off road park in Oklahoma.

They have some trails and obstacles. My stock k5 was bottoming out on mostly everything.

If your big then you can have a lot of fun. There are videos of the waterfall and stuff on youtube.

I think you would be fine driving down to look around. There was a lot of stock 4x4's down there with people fishing and stuff when I was there.

A lot of it looks like this, its very rough to drive on but very passable.

There was also a lot of smaller obstacles to play around on.

If you're close I'd run down and check it out.

You can get around the river bottom fairly easy. That will take you to the rock garden, grand staircase, viagra, the waterfall, and little blue. There are also access roads going to most of those areas.

There are some easier trail back in the wooded area, but they aren't marked for difficulty. I've been back there a handful of times and I still have a hard time remembering how to get around.

You could maybe kill half of a day just slow-poking around the river bottom.

Here's a map of the area:

Is there an official name for the park or is it just "Disney?"

Pretty much. I'm not even sure it's considered a park. It's owned by the Grand River Dam Authority and they let off-roaders use it. A lot of the area wheeled is in the spillway of 2 dams, as you can tell from the map.

It's sometimes called Hogan's, after the guy who pushed to allow wheeling. Although, he's not terribly popular these days...
