OK, I put a used 700r4 in my 90blaz. about 9 months ago. now the fluid came up missing out of it. no leaks, just gone? now im very confused i put new fluid in and now all the shift points are off. need a tranny guru to help

Check your t-case to see if it's overfilled.... Could be losing it out the back seal...

shift points are controlled by your TV cable.....

the tv cable doesnt appear to out of adjustment. ill reset it and see if that works. as far as rear seal didnt even cross my mind thanks.

if its not going outthe rear seal, check you modulator their diaphram will bust or crack and it will allow the engine vacuum suck trans fluid up that line and burn it, therefor looking like its disappearing, but it would cause it to smoke white smoke ,depending how bad the diaphram is busted depending on how much smoke you get.

700R4 doesn't have a modulator... that's TH350 or 400... probaobly rear seal... it's a common problem.

thanks guys as you said the problem with shift timming was tv cable have to readjust every two days or so, so ill replace payday the fliud isnt pulling the diapearing act now put prob. 400 miles on since refill still at same level so im scare to check transfercase. the fluid does smell burnt already is that from the tv cable comming undone every once in a while

Takes 2 minuets to check the fluid in the xfer case. Just put a catch pan under the back of the case, remove the top fill nut (make sure your not lying directly underneth it) and if excess comes out, its leaking thru the seal. I drain the excess from mine every 2nd oil change and add as needed to the trans. If your trans fluid is brown and smells burned, I'd flush it and hope its not too late
