While trying to get to my oil pressure sender, it was so buried I decided to take cap and rotor off and noticed this rusty looking dust. My K5 is still running pretty well. Is this something to worry about or clean it up with electrical cleaner? If I should get a new distributor, GM rebuilt mexico or Davis Unified Ignition distributor?
Any help appreciated
Thanks

I'll check for gm performance

GM calls for 19179575 $360 rebuilt. I dont mind spending that If they are better than the Davis Unified
Thanks Wes

yes I would, I bet the shaft bushings are getting sloppy. That reluctor is just a big magnet, the rust is not hurting it. I would at minimum start looking for a quality replacement.

Sounds good my options are a lot of chinese crap or rebuilts
I'll go with Delco OEM rebuilt or Davis
Couldnt find Chevrolet performance for 1989 350 TBI
Thanks
