Distributor questions

I pulled the old dizzy out of my blazer, was not getting spark. i found one of the c-clips stuck to the magnet thats on the spinning shaft,with other metal pieces.(still dont know how or where the metal came from)

could this have caused the resistor button under the coil to explode?

It may have created a different path for grounding the coil?

still trying to figure out why it did it cause if i fix fitech and put back on and it pops again
think it would be pain in the ass

have to send fiitech for new ecu it fried it when it popped

well i swapped dizzy and it fired and ran well a used pieced together edellbrock 750
have to time it and set fast idle for the choke but the wind is blowing so bad the sky is brown
