Does anyone know how to remove the wing from the drivers side window. Ihad to break the window to unlock it because my 2 year old son locked himself in it with the engine running and the heater on. I have a new wing but I can't get the old one out. Any help would be great. Thanks.

yeah there are screws on thetop of the door, where thepost the roll up window slides in.

there is also a screw at the bottom of the window track ( need to remove the pannel) should twist and pull out might need to remove the windoe first i cant remember for sure.

Edit a tip for next time, you can unlock the window by useing a metel rod needs to be ridgid no coat hangers, with the end bent to a 90* with a 1 1/2 leg.

force it past the weather striping on th ebottom of the window closest to the lock, and use the leg to twist the lock up, then pusht eh button with the leg, and twist again, should unlock, might take a couple of trys.

yup. i know when i had doors i could just yank the glass out of the frame on the wing. matter of fact if fell out twice going 55+. i stopped and it had slid a few feet shy of my truck. then when i removed the doors it fell out and dropped a few inches and shattered... funny how it works like that.

Thanks. Now if I could just get a day off I could replace it. That way I wouldn't freeze my a$$ off on my way to work.

A friend at work needed a p/side wingwindow for his 1989 blazer.
I gave him one I had from a 197?? pickup, but he brought it back the next day. Said it was too long.:dunno:
So it might be kinda hit or miss. It worked for Grant but we struck out.
good luck

If has a button on the latch, a second tool is needed to depress it. I have used two allen wrenches and a pair of pliers.

yeah you can use two tools. but you dont need too, if you turn it till it wont open any more, then hit the botton, then turn it should open, it is how i do it

IIRC the windows are almost exactly the same, just the seal is different.
